Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain and restore floors across assigned locations in Mobile, AL. You will operate floor care equipment and follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure clean, safe surfaces for clients and guests.

The role involves hard floor procedures (stripping, refinishing, burnishing) and carpet cleaning, plus waste handling and adherence to PPE standards. Prior floor care experience is preferred; strong reading/writing and math basics are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred.
• Ability to read and write to facilitate communication and perform simple math.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Anticipates and responds to customer needs.
• Performs floor care procedures including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing on hard floors.
• Performs carpet and upholstery cleaning (vacuuming, shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning).
• Operates industrial floor care equipment as assigned and on schedule for large floor area cleaning.
• Performs maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Properly disposes of MSW, infectious, and pharmaceutical waste.
• Removes trash, recyclables, soiled linen, and used supplies; disinfects receptacles and carts as needed.
• Follows Aramark safety, sanitation, and infection control standards and PPE requirements.
• Dresses in uniform and PPE as required.
