Job summary

Northampton Post Acute is seeking a Floor Technician for a full-time 7am–3pm shift. The role focuses on maintaining clean, safe floors and surfaces across a 180-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility.

You will operate floor care equipment, perform refinishing and cleaning tasks, and ensure compliance with infection control standards. Join a team that values passion, respect, and excellence in resident care and environmental services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Floor Technician or in a related environmental services role preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment, chemicals, and maintenance techniques preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures due to physical and environmental risks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care procedures (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing).
• Operate industrial floor care equipment safely to maintain all floor surfaces.
• Clean and maintain carpeted and upholstered surfaces (shampooing, vacuuming, spot cleaning).
• Conduct routine maintenance and restorative care for all floor types.
• Follow safety and infection control guidelines and regulatory requirements.
