Job summary

Carmel-Hills-Wellness- seeks a dedicated housekeeping/maintenance aide to uphold a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. You will perform daily floor care, general cleaning, and light maintenance tasks in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.

The role requires collaboration with nurses and other staff to address environmental service requests and ensure room readiness for admissions and discharges.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital/long-term care housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to follow schedules and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Follow supervisor's schedule to wash, seal, wax and buff floors.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and cleaning vents.
• Conduct general housekeeping to keep the center sanitary, safe and attractive.
• Clean offices, restrooms, lounges, kitchens, entrances, and therapy rooms per schedule.
• Dust, disinfect, and clean fixtures, windows, and furnishings; replenish supplies.
• Collaborate with residents, nurses, physicians and staff on environmental service requests.
• Follow environmental program procedures and participate in infection prevention.
• Prepare rooms for admissions/discharges and ensure readiness.
• Sweep, mop and set up safety signs before cleaning floors.
• Store equipment and supplies properly after use.
• Perform carpet cleaning and tile floor care including stripping and waxing as needed.
• Monitor cleaning products and maintain stock levels; report shortages.
• Support housekeeping and laundry operations as required.
