The Goddard School of Chicago (South Loop) in Chicago, IL is seeking a part-time caregiver/assistant to support the education program with a learning-through-play approach. You will supervise children, assist teachers, and help with resources and daily routines in a busy early childhood setting.

The role requires interacting with children at their level, maintaining safety, and performing cleaning duties. Shift options include 2 PM–6 PM or 3 PM–6 PM, Monday–Friday, with competitive hourly pay

Qualifikationen

• Interact closely with children at their level under sight and sound supervision.
• Communicate effectively with school personnel, children and parents.
• Handle crisis situations, including evacuations.
• Safely walk children between rooms and to outdoor areas.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and learning materials regularly.

Qualifications

• The ability to understand and support the education program using "learning through play" philosophy.
• The ability to interact closely with children at their level, within sight and sound supervision at all times.
• The ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist in toileting (where necessary);
• The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children and parents.
• The ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies.
• The ability to safely walk children from room to room or playground or an outdoor area.
• Willing to clean and sanitize surfaces and learning materials regularly and as needed basis
• Ability to break teachers during nap times while supervising children actively at all times
• Ability to obtain resources to support learning environment in the classrooms
• Ability to use ipads for assisting teachers with daily reports

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma with at least 12 credits in Early Childhood Development or related field
• A Child Development Certificate or higher preferred

• Promote "learning through play" philosophy and educational objectives

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule

• Monday to Friday 2 PM to 6 PM or 3 PM to 6 PM.

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
