Summit Orthopedics in the Twin Cities area is seeking a Physician Assistant to join a floating role across clinics, urgent care, ASC's, and hospital settings. Could include both east and west metro locations.

As a float you will train in a variety of settings/sub-specialties (sports med/hand/foot ankle/spine etc..) which may provide opportunities to transition to a role on a specific MD Team, Orthopedic Urgent Care, or a Hospitalist role.

Qualifikationen

• PA licensure or eligibility is implied by role.
• Experience in orthopedic settings is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Assists in the operating room as first/second assist, including exposure and dissection.
• Triages patient calls, evaluates problems, and responds to emergencies with CPR.
• Prepares patients for surgery: positioning, skin prep, local anesthesia, equipment.
• Conducts physical exams, takes history, interprets images, and evaluates care.
• Orders diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and manages simple fractures.
• Counsels on preventive care and pre-/post-operative education.
