Amrize, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Floating Mechanic to support operations in the Aggregate Division located in Denver, CO. The qualified incumbent will travel primarily through Brighton, Longmont, Greeley, and Littelton, with potential for travel to surrounding Denver city.

This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a variety of plant equipment to include Loaders,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Heavy Equipment Operator/Mechanic experience: 2–3 years minimum.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Test mechanical products to ensure performance per specs.
• Repair and replace damaged parts on heavy equipment.
• Operate and inspect equipment to diagnose defects.
• Diagnose faults using engine diagnostic tools.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment with hoists.
• Perform routine maintenance and lubrication.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Floating Mechanic to support operations in the Aggregate Division located in Denver, CO. The qualified incumbent will travel primarily through Brighton, Longmont, Greeley, and Littelton, with potential for travel to any surrounding Denver city. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a variety of plant equipment to include Loaders, Excavators, Haul Trucks, Dozers and more!

**$3,500 sign-on bonus included**

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Tests mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance, and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications
• Repairs and replaces damaged & worn parts
• Operates and inspects heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices
• Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
• Cleans, lubricates and performs routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles
• Examines parts for damage and excessive wear, using micrometers or gauges
• Schedules maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keeps equipment service records
• Reads and interprets manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems
• Stays abreast of new technology and methodology through on-the-job training and technical schools
• Adheres to all safety protocol to include confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, working at heights, wearing appropriate safety glasses, gloves and other personal protective equipment, as well as all OSHA, MSHA requirement
• Ability to work shifts as required
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Heavy Equipment Operator/ Mechanic experience: 2-3 years minimum
• High attention to detail
• Ability to lift/carry materials of 10-60 lbs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces without limitations
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Additional Requirement

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
