Job summary

Trinity Services Group, a TKC Holdings Company, is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of meals following approved menus and work instructions.

The role reports to a Food Service Director and requires on-site work inside a jail/correctional facility. Must have a high school diploma or GED and be 18+. Prior institutional food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and minimum 18 years of age.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.
• Strong interest in food service and safety regulations.
• Ability to work with inmate labor in a correctional facility.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen team during food prep and service.
• Serve food per scheduled meals and department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to prepare and portion meals.
• Train other food service workers and ensure safety standards.
• Maintain a healthy, safe work environment for staff and inmates.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.


• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.


• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.


• Train other food service workers.


• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.


• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.


• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.


• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required: We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.


• A valid driver's license is required.


• Preferred:We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
