Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a floating Dietitian to support inpatient care across the Kansas City metro. This hourly role provides Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in acute care settings, collaborating with a 35-RD team to cover multiple hospitals.

You will join a national Compass Group unit with opportunities for professional growth, continuing education units (CEUs), and a pathway to leadership within a large healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam-eligible.
• Licensed Dietitian in the state of practice or willing to obtain.
• Healthcare experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for inpatients.
• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition education across acute care settings.
• Collaborate with the RD team and food service colleagues to optimize patient outcomes.
• Contribute to quality initiatives (QAPI) and evidence-based practice.
• Support staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (no weekends or holidays)

Position Details: Join Morrison Healthcare as an hourly Floating Dietitian supporting the 6-hospital HCA system throughout the KC Metro area and work with 35 RD team members to provide clinical inpatient coverage for patients in a variety of clinical settings!

Job Summary

Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian! You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

What You’ll Do

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community.
• Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
• Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
• Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
• Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible.
