Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and maintain a clean, organized store environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience in retail. Part-time position with responsibilities spanning sales, stock, and store maintenance to ensure excellent service.

Job description

We’re seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store recovered and merchandised
• Stock while running cash register
• Stock replenishment of Front end and snack zone coolers in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness throughout the store, including sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Closing cashier needs to be able to follow the manger to the bank in accordance with company policy

Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Previous customer service experience in retail or other retail stores Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required Strong organizational and communication skills are required Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
