Job Summary

The Physical Therapist provides expert, patient-centered care through the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with movement, mobility, and functional impairments. This role develops and implements individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions while building meaningful relationships that empower patients to achieve their goals. The Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care, monitoring patient progress, maintaining compliant documentation, collaborating with healthcare professionals and team members, and contributing to the overall success of the practice. Through clinical excellence, ongoing professional development, mentorship, and commitment to the organization’s values, the Physical Therapist helps improve patients’ quality of life while advancing the standards of the profession.

Job Duties
  • Provides exceptional, evidence-based patient care by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional impairments through individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, function, strength, and quality of life.
  • Performs comprehensive evaluations and develops individualized care plans by assessing patient needs, identifying impairments, establishing meaningful functional goals, selecting appropriate interventions, and modifying treatment plans based on patient progress and outcomes.
  • Delivers skilled physical therapy interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, functional training, patient education, wellness programs, and other evidence-based techniques within the scope of practice.
  • Creates meaningful patient relationships and exceptional experiences by building trust, demonstrating compassion, actively listening, educating patients, motivating participation, and empowering individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Monitors and communicates patient progress by regularly reassessing outcomes, adjusting treatment strategies as needed, and collaborating with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize results.
  • Maintains accurate and compliant clinical documentation by completing evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, re-evaluations, and discharge summaries in a timely manner while meeting payer, regulatory, and practice standards.
  • Maintains productivity and operational expectations by effectively managing patient schedules, optimizing treatment efficiency, contributing to clinic workflow, and supporting practice goals while maintaining quality of care.
  • Collaborates with team members and healthcare professionals by communicating effectively, sharing clinical knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.
  • Promotes long-term health and wellness by educating patients on home exercise programs, injury prevention, lifestyle modifications, and strategies to maintain improvements beyond formal therapy.
  • Supports overall clinic operations and team success by assisting with administrative and operational needs when necessary, including helping with scheduling, patient payments, phone coverage, and maintaining a clean and organized treatment environment.
  • Demonstrates professional growth and leadership by pursuing continuing education, applying current clinical knowledge, mentoring student physical therapists, participating in clinical instruction, and contributing to the advancement of the profession.
  • Maintains the highest standards of professionalism and compliance by adhering to HIPAA requirements, payer regulations, state and federal laws, infection control standards, and organizational policies while consistently demonstrating the practice values of trust, compassion, accountability, and excellence.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring patients.
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
