Job summary

A healthcare organization in Miami Beach is seeking a Floater Certified Medical Assistant. Responsibilities include performing patient care activities, preparing and administering medication, and assisting physicians during examinations. The ideal candidate will have certification from an accredited institution, CPR/BLS Certification, and 6 months to 1+ years of experience. Qualifications

Medical Assistant Certification from accredited institution/agency required.
Completion of Medical Assistant training.
High School or equivalent.
CPR/ BLS Certification required (American Heart Association)
6 months to 1+Years Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

Adept in the sterilization technique and able to demonstrate it when preparing trays for open wounds and preparing bandages.
Adheres to Universal precaution guidelines in the performance of patient care activities.
Greets and escorts patient safely from the waiting area to appropriate areas in the physician office and/or hospital as required.
Understands and executes physician's preferred treatment protocols when coordinating patient flow.
Prepares and administers medication as instructed by the physician; this includes the administration of injections.
Assists physician with complex procedures during patient examinations including but not limited to injections, suture removal, venipunctures, cast removals, biopsies, EKG's. Takes vital signs on patients.
