Job summary

The Floater Lead Teacher is a supportive team member at Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning, covering breaks and assisting Infant/Toddler and Preschool classrooms. Qualifications

• Associate degree in early childhood education or related field.
• PA List C certification preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of NAEYC standards preferred.
• Comfort with PBIS strategies and project approach learning.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring child attendance
• Greeting children and parents and ensuring smooth transitions
• Following lesson plans
• Working with Lead and Associate teachers on lesson planning
• Assisting in preparing instructional materials
• Supervising children and guiding tasks
• Promoting social, emotional, and language development
• Supporting screenings, assessments, and progress tracking
• Assisting with IEPs and specialized learning plans
• Maintaining safe and healthy classroom environments
• Upholding CHS standards and participating in workshops
• Collaborating with staff and acting as a classroom role model
• Maintaining confidentiality
