Job summary

The Terminix International Company Limited Partnership is seeking a Plant Care Specialist to visit customer sites daily and provide expert plant care, including grooming, watering, pruning, and debris removal. You will ensure plants are clean, healthy, and well-displayed while protecting surrounding areas from moisture and water damage.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver''s license, and good reading, writing, and math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Experience caring for plants preferred.
• Valid driver''s license required.
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations.
• Must be available to work Monday–Saturday as needed.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to follow product instructions.

Responsibilities

• Care for plants on customer sites, including grooming, watering, pruning, and fertilizing.
• Prevent damage to surrounding areas and maintain plant display appearance.
• Assist on plantscape installations and holiday decorations as part of a team.
• Maintain scenting and air purification equipment as needed.
• Drive a service van/truck in urban and rural settings and climb ladders safely.

Providing ultimate plant care while preventing damage to surrounding floors, walls, carpet, furniture, etc. from water and/or moisture.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Exercise trained techniques to apply and maintain appropriate amounts of water per lighting conditions and plant requirementsEnsure plants as well as display containers are clean and free of dust and debrisKeep all plants free from diseases and insectsMaintain appearance of top dressing and other ornamental elementsRecognize and communicate additional Ambius product needs to grow the businessAssist on a variety of plantscape installations including interior or exterior container gardens, wall-mounted systems, commercial plantscapes, and moreAssist on holiday decoration installations decorating the interior and exterior of buildings with a team as well as removal of holiday decorations as needed at the end of the seasonMaintain scenting and air purification equipment as necessarySolid communication and critical problem solving skillsRegularly drive a service van/truck in urban and rural settingsAble to safely climb ladders and work on laddersExperience using pruners, scissors, and other sharp objectsWhat do you need?Experience caring for plants is preferredHigh school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust possess a valid driver's license from state of residenceAvailable to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as neededSolid reading, writing, and verbal communication skillsBasic math skills —You’ll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labelsLicenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)Customer-facing experience preferredWhy Choose Us?A career with the Rentokil family of companies can be a professional trajectory filled with opportunity.
