Park National Bank is seeking a customer-focused teller to serve customers and assist with daily banking needs. You will process transactions, refer requests to specialists, and maintain knowledge of products and services to meet customer needs.

This is a full-time teller role with regional travel between North Central Region branches. The Mount Vernon Downtown Office will serve as the home base, with flexible hours including Saturdays.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve customers, prospective customers and bank associates promptly and professionally and in full accordance with Park Promises and Serving More standards.
• Complete transaction processing timely, accurately, and in accordance with bank procedures
• Project the bank’s professional reputation through knowledgeable, courteous interactions with customers and prompt resolution of requests, inquiries or issues.
• Refer loan and deposit customers or prospects to subject matter experts
• Complete ongoing product knowledge, digital product knowledge, financial services and sales-oriented training in addition to all required course training to sustain broad base of product, service and sales knowledge.
• Utilize product knowledge to assist customers and suggest products and services to meet their needs
• Protect bank assets by adhering to all processes, policies and standard operating procedures related to branch and cash security, negotiable instruments, information security, and Federal, State or Local regulations impacting teller activity and branch operations
• Complete periodic in-branch communication and promotion activities specific to the office, if applicable.
• Communicate recommendations for improved work flow and service to customers.
• Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank’s compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks
• Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards

EDUCATION - CERTIFICATIONS - WORK EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or Equivalent required
0-2 years prior cash handling, sales, or customer service experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position must be able to remain in a stationary standing position a minimum of 75% of the time, constantly operate a computer, and be able to be in constant verbal communication with customers and coworkers to discuss and observe account information in order to exchange accurate information. Must be able to bend and lift up to 25 pounds on a daily basis; raise arms up to 90 degrees; and have dexterity in hands to find count currency.

SCHEDULE The expectation for this role is to travel between the North Central Region branches to help with coverage as needed. Operating hours will vary based on location. The need is to have flexibility within the following operating hours: Monday through Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm and Saturday 9:00am - 2:00pm. The expected number of Saturday shifts per month is 2-3. The home office for this position will be the Mount Vernon Downtown Office. Branch offices expected to be covered are: all Mount Vernon locations, Centerburg, Danville, Mount Gilead, Bellville, and periodically Fredericktown. This position is hourly and full-time. A minimum of 37.5 hours is required per week in order to maintain eligibility for full-time status. Generally, this position will require 37.5 - 40 hours per week.
