Job summary

First Citizens is seeking a friendly Sales and Service Representative to join our branch team in Murphy, NC. You will handle transactions, assist customers, and educate them about bank services, while identifying opportunities for referrals to our partners.

This float role requires travel to four branches (Murphy, Cherokee, Hayesville and Franklin) with mileage reimbursement. A driver’s license is required and prior customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 6 months experience in customer service.

• Service Standards - Foster collaborative partnerships that deliver value for customers, prospects and colleagues. Initiate conversation to uncover sales or referral opportunities. Listen attentively and ask insightful questions to understand customer needs and preferences; and take prompt actions to address immediate needs.
• Operations and Administration - Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory and legal aspects of personal interactions, customer transactions and financial exposures.
• Complete required training by established deadlines. Perform general office management duties as assigned to ensure operational efficiency.
• Associates in roles defined to take deposits are accountable for transaction accuracy and operational efficiency of that function.
• The results may include an accountability for individual contribution as well as team performance.

Join our branch team and make a difference.The Sales and Service Representative is responsible for processing transactions and other customer service requests in the branch. Facilitates customer awareness and education of bank capabilities, tools, and resources. Supports the sales efforts of a branch team by identifying and referring sales opportunities to the appropriate bank partner.

This is a float position and will require travel to provide coverage to 4 branches in the Murphy, Cherokee, Hayesville, and Franklin area(s). Mileage will be reimbursed.
