Job summary

BMC Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our inpatient nursing team. The role requires an active RN license in the state or eNLC, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience is expected; BSN is preferred. You’ll participate in a 36-hour weekly, Day shift, non-exempt nursing role with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient’s plan of care based on data collection and patient’s individual needs.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
• Promotes effective communication among interprofessional team members & healthcare consumers.
