Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking a Resource Float Medical Surgical Acute Care Registered Nurse to support our teams and patient care across departments. The RN will coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary staff, and participate in patient education and planning of care.

The role requires the ability to perform rounds, apply nursing process, and maintain high patient satisfaction and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire.

• You will be performing patient rounding in an effort to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.
• You will promote customer service initiatives.

• In this role you will demonstrate your ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.
