Job summary

VillageMD in Berkeley Heights, NJ, seeks a dedicated healthcare professional to support a high acuity urgent care center. You will assist physicians, coordinate patient care, and maintain accurate EHR documentation while ensuring smooth patient flow.

Required is an associates degree and NJ nursing licensure with BLS; 0–1 years is acceptable, 2–4 years preferred. The role is on-site at our Berks area clinic with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• New Jersey State Nursing License and BLS certification required.
• 0–1 years of healthcare experience; 2–4 years preferred in urgent care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician and staff with daily coordination of patient care.
• Function as liaison between patients, staff and physicians; maintain flow.
• Take and record vital signs; document in the EHR accurately.
• Collect lab specimens and label them according to guidelines.
• Administer injections per protocol; ensure proper safety precautions.
• Prepare information for patient visits and schedule appointments accordingly.

Accurately labels specimens.· Prioritizes patient care by implementing physician orders and nursing procedures.· Ensures proper preparation for patient visit. Prepares pertinent information needed for patient visit.· Effectively communicates problems, concerns or issues to the Office Supervisor/Manager appropriately and promptly.· Assures all patients are correctly identified prior to providing and/or documenting care.· Ensures proper preparation for patient visit.
