Connecticut Children’s is seeking a float nurse to provide general or specialized nursing care across ambulatory settings. The role requires travel to all Connecticut Children’s locations, including distal satellite offices, with assignments ranging from half-days to weeks based on department needs.
You will deliver care per professional standards, document thoroughly, educate families, and advocate for patients while aligning with CCMC policies and state/federal regulations.

Provides general or specialized nursing care to patients in a variety of ambulatory settings and clinical practices. The float nurse will provide these services/support at various locations and must be able to travel to all Connecticut Children’s locations, including distal satellite offices. Assignments at each of the different locations may range from a half day to weeks depending on the need of the department. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the standards of practice of a professional nurse, Connecticut Children’s policies, procedures and State and Federal regulations in order to promote the health, safety, and comfort of CT Children’s patients and families. Reports to Ambulatory Nurse Manager.
