Job summary

Saint Lukes Health System is seeking a Surgical Technician to provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assist with surgical and clinical duties, and adapt care to each patient’s needs. The CSOT2 role requires BLS certification and about 1 year of applicable experience, with the position floating between 2-3 metro hospital locations to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• 1 year of applicable experience in surgical/medical settings

Job Description

The Surgical Technician provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the RN. The Surgical Technician assists in the patient care, anticipating patient family eds in a proactive fashion. The Surgical Technician individualizes and modifies care according to the patients' needs. The Surgical Technician collaborates with other healthcare employees to enhance the provision of patient care. The Surgical Technician assumes a multi-skilled role, performing clinical and surgical functions that serve as an integral member of the primary patient care team.

The Surgical Technologist CSOT2 will float between 2-3 metro hospital locations to meet staffing needs.
