Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Plano, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Float Pool at Texas Health Plano. This part-time night shift role offers work across multiple units, self-scheduling, and opportunities for education and career growth.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license, nursing degree, BCLS/ACLS within required timelines, and prior acute care experience; a strong commitment to patient safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required.
• 2 years of Progressive Stepdown, Progressive Care or Intermediate (Tele) Care experience highly preferred.
• RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required.
• BCLS and ACLS within required timelines; CPI training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Respond to safety, physical, psychological and social needs of patients.
• Engage families/caregivers in health care situations while maintaining confidentiality.
• Support healing environment with privacy, safety and tranquility for patients and families.
• Collaborate with the care team to promote best practices in patient safety.
