Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center seeks a Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate care for patients. You will work with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and education.

The role emphasizes rounding to maximize satisfaction, age-appropriate care, and ongoing professional development in Med-Surg.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse with Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification is required.
• Plan to pursue Med-Surg certification within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient rounding to maximize satisfaction and quality standards.
• Apply nursing knowledge to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care across ages served.
• Promote customer service initiatives within the care team.
• Utilize the nursing process to meet patient needs and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Demonstrate clinical skills and procedures as required by the unit.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Float Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto: assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

• You will be performing patient rounding in an effort to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.
• You will promote customer service initiatives.
• You are given the opportunity to utilize nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
• In this role you will demonstrate your ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire
