Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Part Time 7am shift in the Staffing Float Pool at Baptist Medical Center South.

The PCT will assist RNs, LPNs, and physicians with routine patient care and ADLs, maintaining patient comfort and safety. A high school diploma and BLS are required, CNA preferred.

This role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required; CNA/HOSA preferred.
• Completion of first clinical rotation as a Nursing Student or 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses, physicians in routine and non-complex patient care tasks.
• Support patient care team in daily rounds and treatments.
• Follow safety and body mechanics guidelines.
