Job summary

Saint Luke’s East Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will help with bathing, hygiene, toileting, feeding and hydration, and assist with mobility and positioning to support comfort and safety.

Based in Lees Summit, MO, this full-time night shift requires completion of a MO Nurse Aide certification and less than one year of applicable experience.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience required.
• MO Nurse Aide certification from Missouri DHHS is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including bathing, hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding and hydration, and ambulation and positioning as delegated by the RN.
• Support patient safety and satisfaction by performing regular rounds and communicating with the care team.
• Assist across units as needed under Central Staffing Office Tier 1 guidance.

Job Description

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse. The Nursing Assistant functions under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility of the Nursing Assistant is to provide basic patient cares such as bathing and hygiene elimination and toileting nutrition feeding and hydration and ambulation and positioning. The Nursing Assistant supports patient safety and patient satisfaction by performing regular patient rounds on the nursing unit and effectively communicating with all team members. Central Staffing Office Tier 1 required to work multiple units at one entity.
