Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care Float Pool. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday role with shifts that vary by department needs, offering exposure across multiple locations in Northeast Florida.

The ideal candidate will obtain vital signs, room and chaperone patients, maintain medical records, schedule tests and follow-up care, and process prescriptions and referrals, providing essential clinical support to physicians.

Qualifications

• CMA certification required and CPR certification expected.
• Minimum 2 years of patient-care experience in a physician's office.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations within the Baptist Primary Care Float Pool.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance to physicians and team.
• Obtains vital signs and rooms patients during visits.
• Chaperones patients during medical visits and maintains documentation.
• Schedules tests, treatments, and diagnostic procedures per physician orders.
• Processes prescriptions and referrals as directed.

Baptist Health is looking to add a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care Float Pool in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity with varying shift schedules based on the needs of the department.

The ideal candidate will provide clinical support to physicians by obtaining vital signs, rooming and chaperoning patients, maintaining medical records, scheduling tests and follow-up care, and processing prescriptions and referrals. As part of the Baptist Primary Care Float Pool, the role requires flexibility to work across multiple locations and assist with clinical calls and daily patient-care needs.
