Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care under RN or physician supervision in the assigned patient area. The role supports patient and family care consistent with LPN scope.

Candidates must have Ohio LPN license, BLS, ability to perform venipuncture, basic computer skills, and EPIC In-basket experience. Experience in inpatient or long-term care is preferred; travel between facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for Ohio.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient with venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
• Basic computer skills, EPIC In-basket experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under supervision to assigned patients from infant to adult.
• Uphold MetroHealth System mission, vision, and standards in patient care.
• Monitor patient status and coordinate with RN/physician for care plans.
