Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring a Nurse Assistant/PCT in Florida to join our night shift team in Zephyrhills. Provides patient care under RN supervision, adheres to safety and isolation guidelines, and supports continuous improvement within a high-quality care environment.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent. BLS and CNA or equivalent cert required. Prior bedside experience in acute care and willingness to learn are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and healthcare team members.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures per department policy.

Job Description

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Assists in identifying patient needs
