Wellstar Health System is seeking a certified Medical Assistant to perform CMA duties in an outpatient setting. You will obtain vital signs, collect specimens, assist clinicians, and keep exam rooms ready and compliant with policies.
You will work under licensed providers and maintain EMR documentation while delivering patient education and emotional support throughout visits.

Work Shift Job Summary: Performs assigned patient care duties under the direction of a licensed provider (MD/PA/NP) or RN. Responsible for performing CMA clinical duties to include, but not limited to obtaining vital signs, administering limited profile of medications/injections per approved policy, performing simple diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, cleaning equipment, ordering/stocking supplies, and maintaining exam rooms in an outpatient care setting. Assists in emergencies as directed by licensed provider or RN. Duties are practice site-specific and may fluctuate based on location.
High School Diploma General or GED General Other / Certificate Medical Assisting
BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support CMA - Cert Medical Assistant or RMA - Registered Medical Assistant or CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or NCMA - National Certified Medical Assistant or MedCA - Certified Clinical & Administrative Medical Assistant
Minimum 1 year outpatient setting is required; prefer experience in the specialty for which applicant is applying required
