Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, a part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Float Pharmacy Technician to support the mental health pharmacy, dispensing prescriptions under a Pharmacist's supervision and handling clerical tasks while covering multiple regional sites.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm EST with a lunch break 12:00pm–1:00pm. Home base is Portage, IN, and travel within a 30-mile radius is required; benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Indiana Pharmacy Technician license.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license.
• Ability to travel to other sites using own car.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under supervision.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and updates inventory records in the system.
• Collaborates with the Pharmacist to ensure compliance with federal/state requirements.
• Performs clerical duties related to the department.
• Maintains clear verbal and written communication with team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We seek aFloat Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions, and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm EST with lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Location:

Your home base will be 3176 Lancer Street, Room 102, Portage, IN, 46368, but you will also need to be able to help with coverage at the other sites in the region and they are within a 30-mile radius from this site

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Indiana
• Ability to use your own car to travel to other sites
• Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
