Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking an ASC Registered Nurse (OR Circulator) for the Float Pool in Austin, TX. This full-time, on-site role supports the North and South Surgery Centers and requires current Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS; travel between centers with additional compensation.

The nurse provides perioperative care, assembles supplies, performs time-out, ensures asepsis, documents care, and collaborates with anesthesia and surgical teams; two years RN experience and ASC experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two (2) or more years RN experience.
• Current TX RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required, ACLS preferred; PALS preferred.
• Maintain RN license and CPR certifications during employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in the operating room.
• Assess patient and family needs to provide quality care.
• Organize time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for efficient case management.
• Prepare the operating room per procedure requirements.
• Implement care plans safely and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform time-out to verify patient, procedure, and site.
• Maintain asepsis and proper documentation of supplies and incidents.
• Assist anesthesia and surgical team as needed; communicate effectively with team.
