Job summary

Corewell Health’s Pennock Hospital in Hastings, MI, is seeking a Nurse Technician to join the Staffing Office Float Pool. This full-time night shift position (7:00 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m.) offers opportunities to cross-train to Med Surg, ICU, Emergency Departments, and OB, while delivering high-quality patient care under RN supervision. You will take vitals, assist with daily living activities, support wound care and safety, and contribute to a safe, compassionate unit.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Cert required within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Nurse Technicians act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
• Cleans patient’s environment / work area / equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department / unit personnel. Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior. Advocates for privacy, confidentiality and security of patient, staff and organization data.
