Job summary

AHL HealthCare Group in Duluth, MN is seeking a part-time Float Behavioral Health Practitioner (BHPR) to support residents at our IRTS facility. This role offers open shifts and higher pay for filling varied shifts.

You will implement ITP plans, provide supervision and safety, travel in the community, and collaborate with a supportive team. Prior behavioral health experience and valid driver's license required; weekend availability preferred.

Qualifications

• 30 semester hours and 2000 supervised hours in Behavioral Health or related field.
• Completed Practicum or Internship in Behavioral Sciences or Related Field.

Responsibilities

• Implement person-centered, positive practice behavior support plan / ITP for individuals to maintain or improve independence.
• General knowledge of social services, record keeping, and confidentiality.
• Create and follow ITP plans and encourage participation.
• Provide support and supervision per ITP plan, ensuring consumer safety.
• Regularly travel in the community, transport clients and ensure safe vehicle operation.

AHL HealthCare Group is seeking a part-time Float Behavioral Health Practitioner (BHPR), also known as Mental Health Practitioner, to join our team at our IRTS facility. This individual will assist with filling a variety of shifts, and is compensated at a higher rate due to this. This program is close to the UMD campus so this would be a great opportunity for students, or anyone looking for employment in this area of Duluth. BHPR's work to support our residents in various ways.

Hours of Available Position:

Part-Time Role

• Must have open availability to work all shifts!
• Day shift (8am-4pm)
• Evening shift(4pm-12am)
• Awake overnight shift (12am-8am)
• Every other weekend availability required

Compensation:

• $23.00-$27.00/hour depending on experience and education

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implementing and following the person-centered, positive practice behavior support plan / ITP for individuals to maintain or improve areas of independent living such as symptom management, budgeting, maintaining services, meal prep/planning, employment, etc.
• General knowledge of social services, record keeping, reporting requirements and confidentiality
• Ability to create and follow ITP plans set up for clients and uses creative ways to encourage participation
• Provide support and supervision as defined in each ITP plan, using therapeutic interventions, while ensuring consumer safety
• Regularly travel in the community, transport clients, and assure safe vehicle operation including all passengers wearing a seatbelt, respecting speed limits, following agency policy, maintaining current car insurance, and possessing a valid driver's license at all times

Qualifications for All IRTS Staff:

• Ability to multitask and strong communicator
• Enjoys conducting groups and is an effective team member
• Ability to pass MVR, maintain a valid driver's license, insurance, and maintain background study clearance
• Prior IRTS Experience Preferred

Qualifications for Behavioral Health Practitioners:

• Course Work Qualification Set
  • 30 semester hours AND
  • 2000 supervised hours Behavioral Health or related field
    • OR
  • Completed Practicum or Internship in Behavioral Sciences or Related Field

• Work Experience Qualification Set
  • 4000 supervised hours Behavioral Health or related field
    • OR
  • 2000 supervised hours AND
  • Receives weekly clinical supervision from MHP
