Job summary

Temple Health seeks a Medical Assistant - Float to travel across Philadelphia and surrounding counties, providing clinical coverage at multiple outpatient locations. You will greet patients, manage registrations and billing, prepare charts, and assist with procedures while supporting providers and other staff to maintain efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a medical assistant program (non-degree).
• 1 year experience preferred, may require basic patient registration and administrative skills.

Job description

The Medical Assistant - Float will travel and provide clinical coverage at assigned outpatient practice locations throughout Philadelphia and surrounding counties. Receives patients at the time of visit and supports the providers and other clinical staff in the delivery of health care to patients by performing a variety of medically related tasks to ensure smooth patient flow. Key responsibilities include reception duties, administrative and clerical support, and assistance with patient procedures. Greets and registers patients, completes forms, collects and enters patient demographic and billing information, prepares charts, scheduling, maintains office filing system, updates electronic medical records as appropriate and collects payments in accordance with cash handling policies and procedures. Will be utilized to assist with the training of new clinical support staff. Education Non Degree Program Graduate from a medical assistant program Required Experience 1 year experience
