Job summary

SSM Health is seeking an On Site Float Pool Medical Assistant for the day shift (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., M-F) in the Saint Louis region. You will assist with examinations and procedures under the direction of a nurse or provider and help prepare treatment rooms for patient visits.

This role requires a High School diploma or 10 years of work experience; many medical assistant certifications are listed for consideration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
• Certification options include CMA, CCMA, CMA (AAMA), RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, AMCA, AAH, AMT, ARMA.

Responsibilities

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or RN.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information in charts.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examinations.
• Performs basic clerical duties: phones, scheduling, filing.
• Maintains supplies and clean environment.
• Transcribes orders and documents encounters as directed.
