Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin seeks a Medical Assistant Float to support care teams across multiple specialties in the Racine/Kenosha area and at one site in Gurnee, IL. You will welcome patients, record vital signs, prepare exam rooms, and assist providers during procedures.

The role requires a MA diploma or equivalent experience with phlebotomy skills preferred; 1 year MA experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience or be a certified MA with 2 years MA experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred. 1 year of medical assistant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
