EPIC Health in Southfield, MI is hiring a Float Medical Assistant to join our hands-on care team. This full-time, on-site role emphasizes face-to-face patient interaction, accurate vital signs capture, and support of the care plan.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Assistant or completed coursework in the field.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Ability to work face-to-face with patients.
• Strong communication and compassion in care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Welcome Patients with Care: Escort patients to exam rooms and create a welcoming environment.
• Capture Crucial Information: Accurately measure and record vital signs in the EHR.
• Document Patient History: Log symptoms and medical history with precision.
• Administer Procedures: Perform injections, vaccinations, and other treatments.
• Educate Patients: Explain procedures to ensure patients are informed.
• Assist in Diagnostics: Collect blood and urine samples.
• Coordinate Follow-Up Care: Schedule future appointments.
• Help out where needed: Go between locations when help is needed.
• Support Team Excellence: Participate in initiatives to improve processes.
