Qualifications

• CA Pharmacy Technician license required
• Accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical generic and trade names and dosage forms
• Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations
• Skill in preparing intravenous solutions using aseptic techniques
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Skill in computer order entry of medication orders and related tasks
• Excellent telephone and verbal communication with pharmacists, nurses and physicians
• Ability to compound chemotherapy solutions per department guidelines
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and push 50 lbs
