Job summary

IVX Health is seeking a Full-time Float Nurse Practitioner for the Raleigh market. The NP will provide high-quality infusion care in outpatient settings across multiple locations, including Durham, Cary, North Raleigh, Knightdale, and Garner.

You will oversee patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, perform assessments, and educate patients and families on treatment expectations and potential side effects. Flexibility and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

  • NP license and RN license (as required by state)
  • Board certification (AANP or ANCC)
  • BLS required; PALS preferred
  • Experience in ambulatory infusion center or outpatient clinic a plus
  • Ability to care for adults and pediatrics; FNP preferred
  • Strong IV/infusion therapy skills and medication management
  • Proficiency with EHR documentation and HIPAA compliance

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct on-site and virtual supervision during infusions and injections
  • Perform patient assessments and document SOAP notes
  • Educate patients and families on treatment expectations and potential side effects
  • Maintain accurate records in the EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance
  • Assist with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline visits
  • Collaborate with referring providers and cross-functional teams
  • Support operations, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence
  • Work across multiple facilities within the designated market as needed
  • Take on additional duties to support patient care and organizational goals

What You Will Do
  • Provide Direct Patient Care – Deliver on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections with precision.
  • Conduct Patient Assessments – Perform evaluations, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses.
  • Educate and Support Patients – Guide patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality – Maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, review nursing documentation, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Optimize Clinical Workflows – Assist with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams – Work closely with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination.
  • Support Operations and Training – Assist in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability – Work at multiple facilities within a designated market as needed.
  • Perform Additional Duties – Take on other responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives.
What We're Looking For
  • Active and Unrestricted Licenses – Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license (if required by the state).
  • Board Certification – AANP or ANCC certification required.
  • Life Support Certifications – BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
  • Clinical Experience – Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus.
  • Ability to Treat a Diverse Patient Population – Must be able to care for both adults and pediatrics—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred.
  • Strong IV and Infusion Therapy Skills – Experience with specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Documentation – Experience with EHR systems and a strong understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional Communication & Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
