Job summary

Credit Union of America is seeking a courteous Financial Service Representative to serve members and promote the credit union's products through proactive sales. You will resolve member questions, process deposits and loan payments, and help identify opportunities for additional services.

You will support branches during vacancies or training, cross-sell products, and ensure compliance with BSA/AML policies while maintaining accuracy and professional service.

Qualifications

Job description

Starting Pay:

$18.00/hour + Commission

Role:

Provide professional, accurate, courteous service to members. Increase utilization of CUA products and services among existing and new members through pro-active sales efforts. Provide relief to branches while a Financial Service Representative vacancy, recruitment or training takes place.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Increase member penetration and use of credit union services among new and existing members. Identify credit union service and lending opportunities; develop leads and sell all credit union products to members through direct solicitation methods. Hand off work to branch leadership at the end of the coverage period.
• Fulfill member requests and prepare necessary documents ensuring they are in compliance with CUA policies and legal requirements. Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
• Provide member support for problem resolution, including account research and questions involving CUA products & services. Refer problems that are beyond their authority to the manager.
• Cross sell credit union products and services which would benefit the member.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.

Knowledge And Skills

• Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• Education: A high school education or GED.
• Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves many personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
• Other Skills: To operate a ten key calculator and computer keyboard.
