Job summary

Hanscom Federal Credit Union is seeking a Float Financial Wellness Coach to join our Financial Wellness team. You will provide personalized coaching and education to help members achieve their financial goals across multiple branch locations.

The role involves one-on-one sessions, workshops, and community education, with travel between branches and collaboration with a member-first, empathetic team to empower financial well-being.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in financial services or financial coaching.
• Strong knowledge of personal finance, budgeting, credit, lending and debt management.
• Experience delivering workshops, presentations, or one-on-one coaching.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team; travel between branches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized financial coaching and education to members and prospective members.
• Help with budgeting, savings strategies, debt management, and financial goal setting.
• Develop customized financial plans tailored to individual needs.
• Conduct one-on-one consultations and monitor progress toward goals.
• Deliver workshops, seminars, webinars, and community education events.
• Educate members on credit union products and services to support well-being.
• Travel regularly between branch locations to support members.

As a Float Financial Wellness Coach, you'll provide personalized financial coaching, education, and guidance that empowers individuals and families to achieve their financial goals, improve financial confidence, and build a stronger financial future. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through one-on-one coaching, financial wellness workshops, and community engagement while supporting members across multiple branch locations.

What we offer

$28.93/hr to $36.16/hr

Compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. Final pay may vary depending on factors such as prior experience, expertise, and specific requirements of the role. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and will discuss the final pay rate with candidates should an offer be made.

You are a relationship-focused professional who is passionate about helping others achieve financial success. You have strong financial knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build trust with members from diverse backgrounds. You enjoy educating, coaching, and empowering individuals to make informed financial decisions and are motivated by the opportunity to improve lives through meaningful financial guidance. You are organized, self-motivated, and comfortable traveling between branch locations to support member needs.

What you'll do

• Provide personalized financial coaching and education to members and prospective members.
• Assist members with budgeting, savings strategies, debt management, credit improvement, and financial goal setting.
• Develop customized financial plans tailored to individual needs and objectives.
• Conduct one-on-one consultations and monitor member progress toward financial goals.
• Deliver financial wellness workshops, seminars, webinars, and community education events.
• Educate members on credit union products and services that support their financial well-being.
• Analyze financial information and credit reports to identify opportunities and recommend solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of member interactions and program outcomes.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and financial wellness best practices.
• Travel regularly between branch locations within the assigned service area to support members where they need you most.

What you'll bring

• 3 to 5 years of experience in financial services, financial coaching, counseling, education, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of personal finance, budgeting, credit, lending, and debt management.
• Experience conducting workshops, presentations, or one-on-one coaching sessions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• A genuine passion for improving the financial well-being of others.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Behavioral Finance, Social Work, Credit Counseling, or a related field preferred.
• Financial coaching or counseling certification preferred.
