Malvern Treatment Centers located in Malvern, PA is currently seeking a Full Time Counselor position to work 2/3 days during the week with an every other weekend obligation (with Monday-Friday during the non weekend weeks). Position Summary: Counsels patients regarding all aspects of their addiction; to be an active member of the treatment team in the formulation of assessments, treatment plans, diagnostic summary, progress notes and continuing care planning. Promotes the safety/wellness and well-being of patients.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May give direction and provide feedback on the performance of student interns.

Education and/or Experience: Master’s Degree required with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field which and two years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency which includes one year of working directly with the chemically dependent, or Full certification as an addictions counselor & three years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, which includes one year of working directly with the chemically dependent. Individual shall also complete a Department approved core curriculum training which includes a component on clinical supervision skills. Licensure preferred.
Emergency Classification: Non-Essential Personnel
Technical/Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Proficient.
Work Environment and Hazards: No hazardous conditions. Protected from weather conditions.
Physical Requirements: Sedentary work lifting 10lbs maximum
