Job summary

Riverside Walter Reed Professional Center in Gloucester, VA seeks a PRN Certified Medical Assistant to float to multiple regional locations. The CMA will assist physicians, perform basic clinical duties, manage patient intake, and document in EMR under supervision of clinicians and office management.

Requirements include CMA program graduation or CMA certification, high school diploma or GED, and 1 year of clinical/outpatient experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CMA program graduate required.
• 1 year clinical experience (preferred).
• 1 year outpatient medical office experience (preferred).
• Experience with insurance preauthorizations and referrals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with procedures and patient care.
• Record vital signs and patient history in EMR.
• Prepare patient rooms and maintain clinical areas.
• Manage patient scheduling, referrals, and preauthorizations.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic labs as applicable.
• Provide patient education and follow-up per protocol.
