  • Develop engaging layouts, captions, and content that accurately represent students, staff, and school programs.
  • Verify names, grades, and information for accuracy prior to publication.
  • Promote academic success of student assistants, and work closely with the community as necessary for sponsorship or promotion within the annual yearbook.
  • Maintain communication with students, families, school administration, and community partners.

  • Coordinate yearbook ordering, sales, and marketing throughout the school year.
  • Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with district financial procedures.
  • Maintain inventory records and coordinate final distribution of yearbooks.
  • Communicate ordering deadlines and purchasing information to students and families.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with students, parents, staff, school administration, and the yearbook vendor.
  • Collaborate with teachers, coaches, club sponsors, and activity advisors to ensure comprehensive event coverage.
  • Provide regular progress updates to the Principal and District Athletic Director.
  • Promote school pride by highlighting student achievements, academics, athletics, fine arts, clubs, and extracurricular activities.

Organization & Time Management

  • Maintain detailed production schedules to ensure all publishing deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrate the ability to independently prioritize multiple projects throughout the school year.
  • Complete photography, editing, layout, and production tasks outside the regular contract day as necessary.
