Wing is seeking a Flight Test Engineering Intern to join our Flight Test team in Palo Alto, CA (hybrid in-person program). You will participate in world-class flight testing to advance Wing’s developmental and validation efforts.

The role involves managing a flight test project from planning through reporting, performing real tests, analyzing data, and collaborating with multiple domains to achieve test objectives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or science; graduation Dec 2027 or Aug 2028.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts across disciplines.
• Comfort with a fast-paced environment and an appetite for innovation.
• Ability to work with prototypes, provide feedback on flying characteristics, and analyze flight data.
• Must have an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate.

About the Program

Join Wing's 12-week paid summer internship! This is a hybrid, in-person program based in Palo Alto, CA, with start dates in May or June. Eligible candidates must be a current student enrolled in a degree program and intend to return to the program after the completion of the summer internship.

About the Role

Wing is looking for a Flight Test Engineering Intern to join our Flight Test team based in Palo Alto, CA / Hollister, CA. Wing is looking for a Flight Test Intern to join our Flight Test team based in Hollister, CA. The Flight Test team performs world class flight testing to further Wing’s developmental and validation efforts. A day on the flight test team can involve flying a flight test, working on flight test plans, performing analysis of flight test data, and/or working on flight test reports.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for a flight test project, taking it through each of the phases (planning, preparation, execution, and reporting).
• Perform a real flight test
• Execute the full plan, execute, analyze, report cycle for a flight test
• Collaborate with Winglets in multiple domains to achieve test objectives

What You’ll Need:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering or science field, graduating December 2027 or August 2028
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues across disciplines
• Comfort with a fast-paced environment and an appetite for innovation
• Ability to work with prototypes, provide feedback on flying characteristics, and/or perform data analysis of flight data.
• Must have an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate

The US base salary range for this internship position is the salary range below + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

Salary Range: $128,000 USD - $135,000 USD
