Job summary

Wing is seeking a Flight Test Engineering Intern to join our Flight Test team in Palo Alto, CA. This 12-week paid summer internship is hybrid and in-person, with start dates in May or June.

You will work on flight test planning, execution, and reporting, collaborating with multiple domains to advance Wing's flight test efforts. The role requires pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in engineering or science, graduating Dec 2027 or Aug 2028, excellent communication skills, and a valid FAA Part 107

About the Program:

Wing is looking for a Flight Test Intern to join our Flight Test team based in Hollister, CA. The Flight Test team performs world class flight testing to further Wing's developmental and validation efforts. A day on the flight test team can involve flying a flight test, working on flight test plans, performing analysis of flight test data, and/or working on flight test reports.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for a flight test project, taking it through each of the phases (planning, preparation, execution, and reporting).
• Perform a real flight test
• Execute the full plan, execute, analyze, report cycle for a flight test
• Collaborate with Winglets in multiple domains to achieve test objectives

What You'll Need:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering or science field, graduating December 2027 or August 2028
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues across disciplines
• Comfort with a fast-paced environment and an appetite for innovation
• Ability to work with prototypes, provide feedback on flying characteristics, and/or perform data analysis of flight data.
• Must have an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate

The US base salary range for this internship position is the salary range below + benefits. Wing's salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

Salary Range

$128,000 - $135,000 USD
