Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Flight Test Engineer / Test Director to lead end-to-end test campaigns for Hivemind Mission Autonomy on small UAS. You will own test readiness decisions, direct fly–fix–fly campaigns, and ensure traceability of test results to requirements.

You will coordinate across engineering, safety, and program management, establishing test standards and risk-based approaches while maintaining safety and configuration control.

Qualifications

• Lead end-to-end test campaigns for Hivemind on small UAS.
• Own test readiness decisions across lab, simulation, ground and flight phases.
• Direct fly–fix–fly campaigns with disciplined configuration control and safety.

Responsibilities

• Act as Test Director for system-level integration and flight test campaigns.
• Define and enforce test strategy, verifications, and prioritization of objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional test execution across engineering, safety, and program management.
• Lead risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety-of-flight discipline.
