Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a General Dynamics subsidiary, is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and certify safety-critical software for fly-by-wire flight controls and aircraft performance. You will work across the lifecycle with MATLAB, Simulink, and Python, contributing to requirements, modeling, simulation, and flight tests.

You will join an 11-person Flight Sciences team, collaborating with labs and flight test to ensure DO-178C/ARP4754 compliance and robust

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 5 years in a technical discipline or 10 years broad engineering with a bachelor's.
Experience with MATLAB and Simulink; proficiency in Python (OO).
Experience with aerospace system test development and results analysis in simulation/integration tests.

Responsibilities

Develop and support certification of safety-critical software for fly-by-wire flight control systems.
Develop software supporting aircraft performance prediction and mission planning.
Create and refine software requirements and apply model-based design techniques.
Perform verification and validation through desktop simulation, LABs, HIL, and flight testing.
Develop simulation models and automation scripts for labs.
Support compliance with DO-178C, DO-331, and ARP4754.
Improve automated testing frameworks and engineering analysis tools.
Collaborate across Flight Sciences, Labs, Flight Test, and other teams.
