The Boeing Company is currently seeking Flight Software Engineers (Associate/Experienced/Senior) to support our Flight Software Team located in El Segundo, CA or Mountain View, CA. In this role, the individual will lead a team with design, implementation, and test of flight software with a focus on leadership, quality, earned value, and development of new capabilities for current and future satellite programs. This position will support the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization. We are seeking Software Engineers that are passionate about space and excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment that supports the design, development, and implementation of software for existing and emerging Boeing commercial and government space programs. This exciting software engineer position requires demonstrated experience within the software ecosystem, a diverse background of project experience, and the clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities of multiple software programming projects. Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills are required.
- Support the design, integration, modification, test, and debugging of software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standards
- Assist with review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements for software products for embedded devices and systems
- Support building and writing code for embedded systems software to run on specific specialized hardware.

- This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at El Segundo, CA or Mountain View, CA.

- 2+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real-time or non-real-time system
- 2+ years of experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python
- Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification
- Experience using team collaboration tools including GitLab, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence
- Experience in embedded real-time software development
- Experience with Wireshark or other network analysis tools and Debuggers
- Experience automating software builds, unit tests, and integration tests using a DevOps tool chain

Summary Pay Range / Associate: $106,250 – $143,750
Summary Pay Range / Experienced: $135,150 - $182,850
