Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Pauls Valley, OK is hiring a Flight Paramedic to join a team of air transportation experts delivering pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care. Responsibilities include charting patient care, performing base checks, and ensuring safety and accuracy in mission documentation.

The role requires 3+ years in 911/critical care, EMT-P licensure, and mandatory certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP/trauma) with FP-C due within 24 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting required.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility maintaining thorough patient care documentation.
• Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing lab and clinical experiences.
• Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
• Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
• Function as a medical flight member.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings and complete necessary documentation.
• Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and Pilot assistance when needed (radio, navigational, and visual observation activities).
• Comply with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff.
• Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
• Responsible for filling open or vacant shifts within assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.

• Starting pay at $21.32 hourly + DOE
• $4.16 Hourly Area Stipend Modification.

We’re hiring a Flight Paramedic to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.
