Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP preferred.
  • NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and submit electronic patient care records for dispatched flights.
  • Conduct daily base checks, including narcotic count.
  • Provide advanced life support care until patient is handed to facility.
  • Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
  • Document required licensure, certifications, and continuing education.
  • Maintain equipment used by emergency programs.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues and public.
  • Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings.
  • Assist pilots with navigational activities as needed.
  • Comply with safety standards before liftoff.
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings as necessary.
  • Fill open or vacant shifts as assigned.

Job description

Flight Paramedic

Immediate hiring! Flight Paramedic opportunity in Lebanon, KY starting at $20.92 + DOE, with additional $5 Geo Modification.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
  • Responsible for daily base checks, which includes narcotic count.
  • Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough patient care documentation.
  • Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills by participating in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
  • Maintain documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
  • Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
  • Function as a medical flight member.
  • Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings and complete necessary documentation.
  • Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and provide pilot assistance when needed, including radio, navigational, and visual observation activities.
  • Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff.
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
  • Responsible for filling open or vacant shifts within assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
Preferred Education and Certifications
  • Current EMT‑P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma certification prior to flight status.
  • Flight Paramedic‑Certified (FP‑C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
  • NREMT‑P certification may be required in assigned area.
